We are a small club that sails at the pond in Knightswood Park in the city of GLASGOW. Our members have a large range of model boats that cover most types of vessels, from kits to scratch built,small to large. At the present we do not have any building or shelter at the pond side but we do have a club room in nearby bowling pavilion courtesy of the city council where we can meet and work on our boats and store the clubs items, but his is some 300 yards from the pond.
We are not a club that has competitions but enjoys free sailing and chats about boats and the problems one can have. There is a lot of knowledge that the members have, and as such no problem can not be solved.
A lot of us have the WEE NIP sailing boat which is a great fun boat, cheap to build and easy to carry about, and surprises a lot of people as just what it can do. If you have one why not come down and join in , this applies to any boat or come and ask how to start model boat building and sailing, we are here too help and advise its free and no strings.
If on holiday here in Scotland why not pop a boat in the car and bring the family for the afternoon enjoy the sailing and have a cuppa and chat hope to see you sometime
